Susan Austin | Producer | Director

Susan Austin has over 20 years of film industry experience, dedicated to acting, writing and producing independent films, as well as managing her son & various other talent. Susan has a proven track record, for successfully managing film projects from conception to their completion.  Her first film a Short "Apparitions" was Awarded 2015 BEST SHORT HORROR FILM, in the REEL HORROR Film Competition, held by Village Roadshow Theme Park: Movie World. "Apparitions" was then turned into a Maze at their Fright Nights. Since then, Susan Co-Produced a Short film "Beautiful Scars" which won the Audience Choice Award - Mental Health Category in the 2018 SCREEN IT Film Festival. Susan’s latest completed project is a TVS Mockumentary concept Pilot HTSTAWS (Under 23 mins) – ‘How to Survive the Apocalypse with Style’ a story Susan developed, together with her son (lead actor David James Austin) over 5 years. In 2019 Susan pitched to the ABC, who responded very positively to the concept, however due to election issues were unable to commit. Susan was referred to Screen Australia, via Screen Qld, who advised to develop the series further. Moving into 2021 | 22,  Susan and David completed further episodes, with the aim of pitching to an Established Production house, as a stand-alone Series or, as a Spin off series for a past popular production, which provided inspiration for HTSTAWS. Oct 2022, saw Flaming Furnace Films host a Red Carpet Premiere of an updated version of HTSTAWS for all Cast, Crew & Supporters. Also, in 2022 Susan co-wrote a television Drama series, titled Redlakes - pitch ready, as well as optioned a novel, titled “Summerset Valley” written by a young up and coming QLD author, with plans to develop into a Network Series. Further to film projects, in 2019 Susan Co-directed the sold-out season of ‘The Addams Family’ Musical at the Gold Coast Little Theatre.

David Austin | Actor | Streamer | Voiceover

David James Austin, born in Australia on 11th September 1996 is a QLD based Film, TV & Theatre Actor. David graduated from New York Film Academy, with an Advanced Diploma of Acting for Film in 2015.

David has worked extensively within the film industry, beginning as an extra on many big budget Hollywood films, later moving to lead roles in Award winning Short films. David has performed in both lead and ensemble roles within Theatre Productions, such as "Allen" (2016) at HOTA - Home of the Arts, where he played four separate characters, "Les Miserables" (2017) and in (2018) he was lead Actor 'Young Kipps' in the Sold-out Season, of The Woman in Black at HOTA. In 2019 David was cast in two brilliant independent Films, Bloodline and An Unconventional Love, both recipients of multiple Awards from the World Film Festival Circuit in 2020.

David is the managing Director of his Independent Film Company, Flaming Furnace Films and has co-written and developed (alongside his mother), a TVS Concept Pilot, "How to Survive the Apocalypse with Style" aka "HTSTAWS" of which he is one of two lead characters. David is continuing to develop further episodes in this series and is currently being pitched to various networks. David was also the proud recipient of the 2019 ASIN BEST ACTOR Award for our Short Film "Beautiful Scars".

2020, David signed with a NZ based Agent BGT & 2021 received his second ASIN Award for Best Supporting Actor 2020 for his Role in "An Unconventional Love". In AU he was cast in a very exciting  fun supporting Role JULIAN, in a Short Film Production “Crossway” which just had it's World Wide Premiere 2022 and is securing multiple Awards in the World Film Festivals.  David is also continuing working and developing his Twitch Stream Channel, “GodlikeGoose”.

James is well grounded in Business management, IT and International Relations. He's set out from the beginning to help drive and develop Flaming Furnace Films. With his guidance, FFF is on its 3rd project with two more expecting to begin production this year James is well grounded in Business management, IT and International Relations. Dwayne Nicol | Production Designer

Dwayne Nicol, QLD based production designer and director, Dwayne has a wealth of experience as a production designer and is able to develop and construct, a huge range of unique Set Designs. Dwayne is best known for his art direction and production design on the ‘Dark Lurking’ 2008 and ‘Garrison 7’ a Supernova Pop Culture regular, which is currently in pre-production as a feature film.  Dwayne has made his directorial debut with HTSTAWS, demonstrating his high aptitude for visualisation.
